We develop the energy projects the grid needs next.

Zelectrify develops battery storage, hybrid energy projects and small data centres built alongside their own energy supply, with the communities that host them.

A day on the grid, with and without a battery
How a battery reshapes a day of grid demand An illustrative chart of demand on the grid across 24 hours. Without storage, demand dips at midday when solar is abundant and spikes sharply in the evening. With a battery, surplus midday energy is stored and released into the evening peak, giving a flatter line. 12am6am12pm6pm12am

What we develop

Our core business is developing energy projects, from the first conversation about a site, through approvals, to a project that is ready to build.

Battery energy storage

Grid-scale batteries that store surplus renewable energy and release it when demand peaks. They add reliability, smooth out volatility and help more wind and solar connect.

Hybrid energy projects

Solar, wind and storage planned together as one project. Sharing land and a grid connection makes supply firmer and development more efficient.

Co-located data centres

Small data centres built on the same site as battery storage or other generation and connected behind the meter, which means they draw power directly from the site. The project makes fuller use of its grid connection.

How a hybrid project works

Each part has a job. Together they turn variable renewable energy into dependable supply.

  1. Generate

Solar and wind capture energy when it is most abundant.

  2. Store

Batteries hold the surplus and release it when demand rises.

  3. Deliver

One grid connection delivers the project's power to the network.

The business case for a co-located data centre

A project earns only from the energy it sells. A data centre behind the meter gives that energy a second use.

  1. Prices fall

At times, wholesale prices or a PPA pay little for the energy a project generates.

  2. Divert, don't curtail

Instead of curtailing, the project sends that energy behind the meter to a modular data centre on site.

  3. Sell the service

The data centre sells computing and hosting capacity, so the same energy now earns revenue that doesn't depend on wholesale prices or PPA terms.

  4. Backed by the grid

Grid supply sits behind the data centre, so the service stays reliable when the project isn't generating.

Energy that would have been curtailed becomes revenue for the asset owner, with the grid keeping the service reliable.

Energy infrastructure should serve the grid and the community.

Zelectrify is an Australian energy infrastructure developer and engineering business. Our team has delivered complex projects across energy, transport and civil infrastructure, and brings that discipline to development: engineering-led, commercially realistic and open with landowners, councils and neighbours from the first conversation.

Engineering first
Every project starts with what can be built, connected and operated safely.
Communities at the table
Local knowledge and landowner interests shape sites and designs early.
One team
We work with partners, suppliers and regulators as a single, accountable team.

Experience that comes with the team

Our team has contributed to more than $15 billion of delivered infrastructure in previous roles. Examples of the work:

Onshore wind

Pricing, construction planning and procurement of substations and medium-voltage networks for a large wind precinct.

Renewable energy zones

Design, construction and commissioning strategy for a multi-gigawatt transmission network, including stakeholder engagement.

Battery storage

Balance-of-plant design, grid connection and fire engineering strategy for a grid-scale battery.

Solar with storage

Detailed design and value engineering for a utility-scale solar farm with integrated batteries.

Transport systems

Intelligent transport, control and SCADA systems for major tunnel and motorway projects under public-private partnerships.

This work was completed by our team in previous roles with other organisations.

Advisory and delivery support

Alongside our own projects, we help developers, owners and investors with technical and commercial delivery.

Ask about advisory
  • EPC strategy and tendering support
  • Technical due diligence and feasibility
  • Owner's engineering and project management
  • Systems engineering, SCADA and grid integration
